Looking for a tire shop in Aubrey, Texas or somewhere nearby, to perform your tire rotation? You’ve found it. Welcome to Zohr. A complete online tire service. No, you can’t download a tire rotation. Technology isn’t quite there yet. But you can bring the tire service to you, meaning we’ll take care of that rotation in your driveway or office parking lot. So if you’re searching for “tire rotation near me,” then yes, that’s pretty near.

What is "tire rotation"?

Tire rotation is a term that gets thrown around with other automotive maintenance words like tune up or inspection, but you might be unfamiliar with what a tire rotation actually is. After all, don’t all tires rotate? Isn’t that the point?
Rotating a tire is rotating it from one hub on your car to another. Like rotating positions on a volleyball court. It’s a standard maintenance item on most cars, and, if done on time, it can actually prolong the life of your tires, helping you get the most out of your investment.

So why is it necessary? It all depends on your car’s factory alignment settings, specifically a setting called camber. Most modern cars have a factory setting of slight negative camber in the rear. This means that the top of the wheel should be tilted a few degrees inward toward the car.
If the car is properly aligned, you probably won’t be able to notice this camber visually, but it will help improve traction during higher speed turns. Proper negative camber will flatten out the tread surface against the road under strong lateral G forces, maximizing grip when it counts the most. This is one reason you don’t see much real-life footage of cars spinning out like they’re in an episode of a ‘70s cop show.

However, the rest of the time, this setting will wear the inside edge of your negatively cambered tires more quickly, since they have to deal with more road friction when you drive in a straight line. The solution, therefore, is to rotate them to the front of the car halfway through their life. Most modern cars feature a “flat” camber setting in the front, so the tire can perform normally up there. The front tire is moved to the back at the same time.
This is a typical tire rotation pattern, but not every car has it. Some cars, especially sports cars, have wider tires in the rear to increase performance. Obviously these wheels and tires won’t be suitable for the front. They often won’t even fit. Some of these cars have a side-to-side tire rotation pattern to make the most use of the tread.
However, this isn’t possible for tires with unidirectional tread patterns, or tread that is optimized to perform when spinning one way, but not the other. Bidirectional tires can be rotated side-to-side. For this reason, we encourage you to check out your owner’s manual for the factory recommended rotation pattern, if there is one at all, before scheduling a rotation appointment. This is also why you should check your manual before looking on the internet for the “best” tire rotation pattern.

Or, if you’d rather not have to worry about any of the details, just schedule a rotation appointment with Zohr. We offer a full tire rotation as an independent service or as an add-on to one of our other services. (Obviously, if you’re getting new tires, a rotation won’t be necessary.)

At Zohr, we have a complete database of every car make and model on the road and its factory recommended rotation pattern. You’ll know with confidence that your tires are being rotated correctly, to factory spec, by trained technicians.

Here’s how the process works:

First, schedule your service here, on this very website. You can set the time and place of your on-site tire rotation appointment. Our mobile tire service vehicles are equipped with everything the techs need, so they can perform this service anywhere in the DFW metro. Your driveway, your office parking lot, even your gym while you’re inside getting cruise ready.

When our trained technician arrives, he or she will notify you, then get to work. First, a system of pneumatic jacks will be placed under your car. The tech will then remove your wheels and rotate them according to factory spec. After the wheels are reattached, your car will be lowered back down, and the lug nuts torqued to a safe, factory spec. All payments are handled online, so you won’t even need to have a credit card handy. Please note that if your car has a sensitive security system, we’ll need you to unlock it beforehand, so it doesn’t think we’re trying to steal your wheels, but we won’t need to get into your car at all. Then we’ll let you know when we’ve finished up.

If you’re ready to extend the life of your tires with a professional on-site tire rotation, you can stop looking for the right shop, because the right shop can come straight to you. Schedule your rotation with Zohr today!
